Sorry, writing this up now so people don't say I let the issue sit. Get to it when you can.
I believe that for the following reasons: Star should be un-permabanned from the Super Smash Bros Fansite Forum.
I am writing this of my own accord. She may not want to ever come back.. but this is for the principal of the thing more than anything else.
1. The biggest of them all. Under the forum consitution, a person can not be instantly perma-banned. I made it myself, so I know. That enough is enough reason. De perma-ban her right now, or you have broken your own rule.
2. The permanent ban was never voted upon. For this reason, she should be unbanned. Permaban's MUST be voted upon. Stop breaking your own rules.
3. Her offense, however wrong.. was not worth an instant permaban.
4. Her past helps, and credit and friendship are being completely discredited for this one instance. Everyone makes mistakes. She had a clean slate previous. So we are a now a no chances kinda site? I'll be leaving then..
5. She gave you back your damn password, so all she did was threats. She didn't commit any other crime. You didn't change the password since she was in there. That's your own fault.
6. She was smeared by forum staff when it had nothing to do with the issue. Where is the flaming bans? I want to see them. Also, this was placed in the category for serious site news, where everyone would see it. Wrong.
For these reasons, and because she was unfairly permabanned in the first place, she should be unbanned and given an formal apology.

But yea Star's a cool person, had no problems with her so I say go for it.

Un-Permaban her, but her actions in my humble opinion were still worthy of a ban and possible strip of moderator powers.

That may be true Kunekune, but the event that happened against her was equally wrong in my opinion, so while i believe the strip of moderator powers would be fine ( she didn't want them anyway) I do believe that for the good of the site, since both the Forum Staff and Star were in the wrong, we just forget the incident happened.

We can't forget what she's done in the same way that we cannot forget what good she has done for the site. You want to take into account her history of good, but not her history of bad?
I say unban her, but she needs to be punished, no matter what good she has done in the past. I personally have not seen her mistreatment, but do remember that it was her decision to do as she did, not anyone else.

Then if that's the case I want a punishment for Ghost too. It's the only way it's fair. What he did was outright flaming and abuse of power.. sorry.
That's why I think we should just do the clean slate thing.

But it needs to be the official staff stance on the issue. This is business.. in the end. Also so NOW there has to be a vote eh? No vote for permaban, it shouldn't be in effect at all. |

yes let's welcome people who completely take over a portion of the site all to themselves back with open arms and a clean slate after they've done crap time and time again.
Where's Blank? Might as well bring him back to. ANd the 4chan spammers before brawl came out. Imma mass appeal on 4chan for those spammers to come back, because we need them all to be here because this is a safe haven for everything.

Now, I love Star, and I'd love to see her come back. I don't think what happened after her ban was at all acceptable and I think the entire site's reaction has been, for lack of a better term, stupid as fuck.
But we're all responsible for our actions, and that includes Star. I think the ban was not only acceptable but necessary. The only reason this thread was even considered was because of Star's popularity, and frankly, that's no reason at all.
What Ghost did was not ok. But that doesn't change the severity of what Star did.

Why can't you realize that you were both in the wrong? She was wrong.. but she didn't mean for it to be that way.
This thread is not just because of her popularity. I posted this because if I didn't, I would lose faith in this site. She told him she did it as soon as she could, she was playing around.. She's not a fucking terrorist.
