We need the member's voice

We, The STaff, have been hard at work these last few days trying to figure out how to stop all the turmoil and bring peace, happiness and progress to the site. And well.. we have so many ideas floating around that we need your help.

Some want NO CHANGE whatsoever and think we can just work out the problems slowly and 1 to 1 basis.. others are looking to the past at a happier time in the forum, and some are looking to the future to add something that would be beneficial

Here are the ideas. Please Vote as many as you think are good.

1. There was a time and place that this site was happy and wonderful. All the staff were respected and loved. We should return to that point a year ago. So we should re-do the staff to only have those staff members from a year ago, which would consist of Dobs, Big Boss, Ghost, Devaux, Steel and LGN no others

2. Members don't think they are being represented in staff correctly, so we should bring in those who would represent the members accurately, meaning KoD, Kunekune, Star, Sharpay, Lloyd, and Drake.

3. Rp/RP Staff has become an major issue of late. so we should just trash the entire RPG and start it from scratch. Get rid of all these new rules and organization and bring it back to the time of RP2 and RP3 when everyone was generally happy with it. Big Boss would head up this movement along with Cell since people are generally too unhappy with how it is run now.

4. The C-box never used to be the pain that is is now. We should just delete the c-box entirely from the site to stop all the fussing about it being locked and just the general shenanigans in it from perverted non-stop talks to rumor spreading and spamming. Just delete it!

5. Fusion - Find another website and fuse the two together. It'll add more people and new things to do.

6. martial Law - enforce stricter staff rights so they can ban for any reason ultimately. So spamming, flaming, talking derogatory to a staff, standing up to a staff, bugging, whining, bitching, talking perversely ... you can be banned for it

7. Abolish most of the rules - Have staff around to only handle things when they get completely out of hand. Let the members roam free and do whatever makes them happy. only minimal rules like... no racism and such. They say we are too strict with our rules and there very well may be too many so let's just get rid of a bunch of them.

8. DO NOTHING OF THE SORT the site is fine as it is we need to just work with the members to put aside our differences and create a safe haven for all. A happy place that we as staff and the members mold and create together.

Well, I think all these ideas may very well screw over or fix it up big time..

so it is really hard to choose, but if the members do not like the staff (although I have no problem with most of them) then a new pick of mods should be chosen. Let's see how they feel as staff.. and who knows.. it might be the thing to fix the forum.
And hell, if that idea sucks.. then go with the old staff back in the days when I was sonicoutruns.

About the idea of fusing forums.
It doesn't have to be fused fully, but have ideas from other forums.
Ideas that will reward members with stuff.
Ex: tofs.proboards.com/index.cgi
look on the top left.

Making rules more strict in my opinion will just ruin the site in my opinion. My members love me because I don't strict my rules to the limit.. but then again.. that's only because of the member amount.

I give members the right to vote for the new things. Because imo, it's the members who make your forum what it is.

1) Well i'm gonna say no.

2) Bring me in well.......err........there alot of that im NOT liking... no offense but i think most of those people would abuse/not have the maturity/active to be staff so i call it a BAD idea.

3) What in god's name are you smoking? Delete the RP? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREAKING MIND?! The RP is like one of the biggest most important things we got on this site. Arguably I'd say its one of the nessecary pilliars that makes our site... AND YOU JUST WANNA GET RID OF IT?!

4) You must me losing it to even consider getting rid of the cbox. It's more then just a cbox its like a hang out for our randomness. It's where all us members go to chill and hang out and without it were force to go through the inconvience of.......(shutters) PMs.

1. Something tells me this would be a good idea, but then again I think we should elect some new faces to help re-shape this site.

2. Yes, as long as we don't have people complaining about favorites and whining afterwards that they didn't win or anything.

3. I don't think we need to delete that much, but I do think we need more organization in the RP and also more staff (or at least give the right to approve characters to more people).

1). I don't think this is a bad idea, but I don't think this is a particularly good idea either. It seems like it would leave the staff short handed in some sections....

2). New staff members wouldn't be a bad idea, but I fear it may cause more "favoritism" in others eyes

3) I don't know much about the rp, but I doubt that turning it back will solve very much...

4) I really don't think this is a good idea... though about 90% of stuff going on in the c-box is randomness, it can actually be useful, like if you're searching for a match, or just want to relax...

1. I'm sorry but what do you guys even do? lol These people that would somehow bring the site to miracle status.. they don't seem so ultimate in the present day. I wouldn't do that simply because its a new stage and its not fair to just boot people out and give these people positions just because they were there in the past.

2. That's not a good idea at all lol. Some of these people just joined the site not too long ago and who said the members are represented correctly?

3. Restart is good. Time travel is BS so no.

4. You do realize that if you kill C-Box, your gonna pretty much kill the site because most people come on to talk there. I hardly see any worth while posting done on the forum to be honest. So if you like having a ghost town for a forum, this is the best idea so far.

5. That could work since this site has like.. not much to go on. Fusion could help a lot.

6. lolz. So you really think people are gonna give you permission to ban for whatever you feel you wanna ban for even if you somehow, someway get your feelings hurt. Martial Law only works in scary situations in the real world. In place where I come to unwind and relax, not so much. Besides, Staff would abuse that power so much that its not funny and prove me wrong on it.

7. Rules are in place to keep order and stability. If you take away most of the rules, your pretty much ripping apart the ground under your own two feet. Like Star said, there needs to a balance, chaos is a terrible idea.

8. Eight seems ok but the site is pretty much from my view very stagnant for many reasons like the RPG not flowing the just the linear theme of brawl. I mean sure, you can come up and say "But we talk about regular games too!" But I don't see so much discussion on that and when others see its a brawl site, that's all they come to expect. Appearance is the number one means of how people judge something so keep that in mind.

Overall, something needs to change here but those eight proposals aren't going to do a damn thing.
