I voted to keep some but not all. There are those who can't really "control" their maturity so I believe that keep some for those people. Most of us are probably mature enough, but if these words become common use because of being uncensored, I think that we should put them back. So let's lift some and see how it goes for a while. If is gets out of hand, put the censors back.

IOY haz opinionz...
Lift Some of teh censors or change them. All the stupid ones like I Disagree should be lifted, and censoring a word so it says [CENSORED] is stupid and can probably confuse people. I personally think just put asterisks in instead of change the entire word.
Minor swears such as Damn and Ass or pissed etc should be left alone. More offending swears such as teh F word or teh N word should either be put in all asterisks or some asterisks. EX: **** f**k, ****** N***er and the normal ones that are commonly used like betch ((replace the e)) and sh!t, should either be not censored or have asterisks.
So basically... No stupid censors but no not having censors.

I vote to keep all the censors. Even so, just because they're gone doesn't mean you should curse your heart out anyways, something I'm not confident will be remembered.
If you really need to show how immature you are by degrading yourself too such a low level, do it somewhere else please.

If you want to curse and "express yourself" do it over MSN if you want to do it that way, not here. I know I am not the only one who doesn't approve of people cursing in such a childish, irratating, --and most of all bothersome to some of us-- manner. This is a kid friendly site and I'd like it to stay that way. It's often mis-enterpretated on what is and isn't PG-13, where some beleive "s***" is PG-13 appropriate when in all reality it is not. Yes kids, when Johnny Fairplay dropped a few curse words in front of you when you were ten you thought it was pretty cool didn't you?  I guess you were wrong. My point is, keep it friendly, keep it clean. If you want to go relieve youreslf of the need to curse then do it out loud just don't type it, because honestly no one wants to hear you say "S***!" one hundred times. Gracious. |
