Acceptance process?

When I saw the cbox being locked, I had this question in mind. Especially after I read the sentence
"The c-box is getting overrun with spammers, random guests and other things we would like to avoid"
Are you guys gonna delete every name in the cbox so you can keep those people out? I say this because that'd act like Norton Antivirus, it protects against future damage, but the virus is still in your computer. I'm comparing it to members, we'd still have spammers, random guests, and "other things we'd like to avoid" registered and in the chat. So, how exactly are you doing it this time around so it's not the same BS as last time?

Suggestions
-Delete everyone and start over
--This would clear out everyone in the cbox, especially since the current situation is biased under "who's less nooby didn't get deleted"

-Registering period
--See a member's first few posts, make sure they're not just 1 word replys and spam, if they're good enough, they're given access to the cbox.
---This would make sure we've got a member, not just a random tourneyf@g.

-Delete those without a member profile on the forum
--People who aren't part of our site shouldn't have the right to use our cbox as their brawl log, should they?
---Bad part-Spammers, random guests and other things we would like to avoid are still there as members. And if it's just "member, PM, accepted" then this wouldn't have anything to help at all.

Your ideas are solid, I'm just going to hear about how I worded that later on.. I don't mind doing any of the things you said.

Seriously, I was sitting in front of the computer thinking about how to explain the reasoning behind locking it, as to avoid more angry rants from Souryaku and other members. I want people to exactly understand WHY we did this. We did this because we feel like to be a member of the c-box, you should be a member of the entire site. It's about give and take, it's about the forum giving something to you, now you give back to the place.

But yes, this will prevents less random spammers, and flamers, and people like Link King. This will make the fact that we are slowly lowering out moderation numbers a light task, and will help allow our c-box to be more fun overall.

I never said your old thought was nazi or bad, I thought it was flawed. I mean, if we want to keep out random guests and such, who's to say they can just make a profile, post and intro, then ask "can I talk in the cbox" and post every 20 minutes "Anyone wanna brawl"?

Their less likely to anyway SLE. As Sour stated, random brawlers don't have the 2 seconds allowed to register, they are too busy being arrested for peeing on cats.
