It might have been five, but what I heard is that the author, CP, wrote the third one so long that he was going to split it into two and make it four books. I might be wrong, but I think it was four.
What I want to know is why the next one is not out already if he had simply overwritten it. I figured he would have cut it off somewhere in the middle and released the next one by now, but I was quickly disabused of that notion.
